Our Solutions
At Samthan Shedge, our approach redefines prevention and establishes true long-term sustainability. Rather than relying on chemicals to kill microorganisms, we harness ultrasonic technology to prevent biofilm formation at its source.

For Shipping & Maritime
Up to 35% Fuel Savings
Thanks to Cleaner Hulls and Reduced Drag.
For Aquaculture
For Fish Farmers, with less Time and Money Spent on Cleaning Systems and Tanks.
Lower risk of algae, bacteria, viruses, fungi, and overall biofouling – leading to higher biomass and yield
Through science-driven prevention, Samthan Shedge delivers boosts in environmental performance and business profitability—helping Aquaculture, Shipping, and Maritime Industry thrive sustainably.
The ocean is Earth’s greatest frontier—covering 70% of the planet, yet less than 5% explored. Its mysteries still hold solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges
Marine organisms produce unique compounds already used in cancer, pain, and infection treatments. The ocean may hold cures for diseases yet unsolved.
Sustainable aquaculture and novel marine food sources (algae, shellfish, deep-sea species) can help feed a rapidly growing global population.
Oceans are our largest carbon sinks. Seaweed farming and blue carbon strategies could transform our fight against climate change.
Founded in 2024 by Dr. Avinash Shedge – a veterinarian and Master in Sustainable Aquaculture (Nord University, Norway) – Samthan Shedge was born from a deep concern for the oceans.
Witnessing the distress of Atlantic salmon in aquaculture systems, Dr. Shedge realized a profound truth:
“to protect aquatic life, we must heal the water they live in.”
This vision led to the creation of a company with sustainability at its core—dedicated to becoming the one-stop solution for water health and environmental resilience, from aquaculture to open oceans.
Biofilm is a microbial shield that forms on wet surfaces—tanks, ship hulls, pipelines—protecting harmful microorganisms and accelerating fouling.
Biofouling leads to clogged pipelines, corroded infrastructure, marine growth on ships, and immense ecological and economic damage. In shipping alone, biofouling increases drag by 25–35%, driving up fuel consumption, emissions, and costly downtime.
Samthan Shedge delivers sustainable, chemical-free solutions for aquaculture, marine ecosystems, and industry. We transform cutting-edge science into practical tools that enhance industrial efficiency and sustainability.
Samthan Shedge began with one mission: protect aquatic life through science and sustainability.
Today, that mission has grown into a global effort—tackling the hidden threats of biofilms and biofouling across oceans and industries.
With breakthrough chemical-free technology now on trial in Bodø, Norway, we have secured exclusive distribution rights for this pioneering device that prevents biofilms in Aquaculture.
Expanded into Anti - Fouling Solutions for Ships, Vessels of any kinds, Marine structures, Offshore Platforms, and industrial systems, protecting the Oceans and safeguarding the environment.
Samudra Manthan –
Our Inspiration
In Indian mythology, Samudra Manthan – the “churning of the ocean” – tells the timeless story of gods and demons working together to churn the cosmic sea in search of hidden treasures and the nectar of immortality.
At Samthan Shedge, this is more than legend—it is the philosophy that guides us. Just as the ocean was churned to separate what was harmful from what was precious, we harness science and innovation to separate threats—algae, bacteria, fungi, parasites, and biofilms—from what sustains life and balance in aquatic ecosystems.
Three Principles of Our Vision:
Samthan Shedge offers turnkey, scalable, and science-driven water treatment solutions. Contact us to discuss pilot trials, full-scale systems, and bespoke remediation plans.
